In our opening scene we first thought to have two people sticking photos, of our main male character in a scrap book. As the book slams shut our production company will appear on the front cover.
We then thought to have a sound over of laughter as a black screen is shown, we thought this would make the film intriguing as it will appear quite creepy. The next shot will be of the main male character leaving a Halloween party, again this links back to the theme of horror. We follow the male character home noticing there are two outlines of people in the distance. As he makes his way into his house the door shuts and soon after there is a knock. We have decided to make this shot a close up as it is significant to our film. As he answer the door , we are adding a shot of a girl who is unknown to the audience, crying, this is going to be a long shot as he invites her in (at this part of the film of the opening sequence the male character does not know the female who is crying). After inviting her in, it will be clear that she appears to have lost the person she was with, at this part in the film there will be another knock at the door, as he goes to answer, looking slightly confused as its quite early in the morning, he catches a glimpse of someone running passed the window. The male character shouts out for the girls hes just met and in response there will be faint laughter. He calls again for her and hears slamming of doors, he goes back into the room where he left her, to find the back doors wide open. to end this two minute sequence we are going to add a quick extreme close up of the male characters eyes as he turns to see two females standing with the knife which was at the beginning of the first shot. we will take quick single shots of each of their eyes, which will add intensity to the film.

Is your synopsis for the whole film or just the opening?
Cris
Good but you may be trying to convey too much for an opening sequence. Remember, you only making the first two minutes of the film. Is this a montage or a continuous sequence?
